TRAINING VIDEOS

Here is a 17yo TB who spent 4 months here in training. Age was no barrier for this lovely horse. He was able to build strength over time that improved his movement and frame dramatically. Enjoy the footage below to see what time spent in training can bring out in your horse:

Andre Trot Work - Oct 07
(8MB)

Here are some words from Andres owner:

My boy was treated like one of her own horses, he went from strength to strength. I never ever worried about his care whilst he was there. Everytime I went to visit him he looked a million dollars & his standard of work was just amazing.
I was also lucky enough to have some lessons as part of the package & all I can say is wow. I only wish that I had heard of Catherine Birmingham when I was a competitive event rider, my results in the dressage phase would have been a lot better! After giving up competing in eventing some years before & having my first child my confidence level was not what it used to be. But in just 3 lessons I had my confidence back & belief in my ability as a rider! (thanks Catherine!).
I was so happy with my horses care at Equinoxe Equestrian that an intended 6-8wk stay turned into a 4mth stay!
Catherine would have to be one of the most amazing passionate people that I have ever met. She is so dedicated & focused on the horse in which she is working with it is awesome to watch. To witness my horse go from a good moving elementary level horse to a very competitive medium/advanced horse was fantastic. She really brought out the best in both of us.
I would like to say a big thank you to Catherine & the team at Equinoxe Equestrian & wish them all the success in the world.'

TRAINING CASE STUDIES

The importance of training is to benefit your horse’s performance and also achieve his greatest health and experience.
The photo left shows the importance of working your horse to enhance his physical ability. This 12 year old warmblood was in training six days’ a week working at M level (Advanced/Prix St. George).

The photo right is taken 3 months later with the rider having changed just two elements in this horse’s training program. Still training six days per week, this horse was moving more forward and in a deeper frame. This allowed increased suppleness and blood flow helping the horse lose tension and build elasticity and muscle carriage in the right areas. This not only changes his appearance it also improved his movement and rideability.

'Searching for the right trainer is always hard, but I have found Catherine to be a wonderful communicator and motivator - who has taken me to the next level of riding in being able to focus. (Ride for Life - page 15 a great read). My horse Rennie and myself have benefited from ongoing training over the past few months. We are progressing steadily and confidently and I am thoroughly enjoying riding him. I believe Catherine will give the rider and the horse the correct basis for success.'
