At Equinoxe Equestrian, our goal is to provide clarity and understanding so that the horse will alertly respond to every thought and movement of the rider. The horse then becomes forward and focused.
Training becomes a synergy between horse and rider that allows the horse to work his best without being forced.

The horses are trained and worked along the German 5-Point Training Scale.
'I have provided an extension of the Scale in order to develop a very basic and simple understanding for all Australian riders. The horse, no matter what age or level, is brought back to the required foundation and built up again towards the German Training Scale. This produces better moving, calmer, reactive horses that are mentally and physically at their best'. - CLB

Catherine Birmingham is an inspiration - as a rider, a trainer and a person. A dressage horse experiences a long career and extreme care must be taken in the initial first stages of training. At Equinoxe Equestrian, each horse’s conformation, breeding, trainability, temperament and history are taken into account when taken in for training. Mental and physical health are assessed so that a training and feeding program can be formulated to enhance performance for each individual horse.
